FourKites, the leading real-time supply chain visibility platform, has officially announced the recipients of its annual Golden Kite and High Flyer Awards to celebrate outstanding customer and partner accomplishments, ingenuity and collaborative initiatives that bring unparalleled value to complex supply chains. In case you weren’t aware, the Golden Kite Awards honor companies that are using the FourKites platform to achieve exceptional results across six categories: Improved Customer Experience, End-to-End Optimization, Supply Chain Agility, Collaboration, Network Performance Over the Road (OTR), and Network Performance Ocean. Talk about the selected recipients on a slightly deeper level, we begin from Dow, who received the Golden Kite Award for Improved Customer Experience, reflecting its success in leveraging FourKites’ Dynamic ETA® and real-time tracking features to enhance customer experience.
“Supply chain visibility has contributed to our goals by providing a solution for Dow to deliver real-time shipment visibility through Dow.com, as well as a mechanism to proactively alert our customers of in-transit delays,” said Jillian Bourbina, Global Business Process Expert at Dow.
The next recipient in line here would be Cracker Barrel (Averitt Supply Chain Solutions). Cracker Barrel’s case for the award is, by and large, rooted in End-to-End Optimization for enabling real-time tracking of purchase orders globally. This includes optimizing yard management, and reducing uncertainty through Dynamic Yard®.
“Now, instead of being on the radio constantly and trying to track things, it is automated and it’s become easier to manage the yard which is a huge win,” said Matthew McDaniel, Logistics Analytics Manager at Cracker Barrel.
Joining the same is Paccar, who received the Golden Kite Award for Supply Chain Agility. To expand upon the same, Paccar leverages FourKites saved reports to gain real-time visibility into inbound shipments, proactively manage delays, and adjust production schedules. This has resulted in time savings and reduced labor costs. Another winner of the Golden Kite Award is Topco, who received the given recognition in the context of Collaboration for integrating Tive temperature tracking devices into the FourKites platform. By doing so, the company allowed these devices to monitor trailer temperatures in real-time, quickly resolve claims, and avoid costly fines.
Beyond that, FourKites also debuted the Golden Kite Award for Network Performance this year so to celebrate the shipper or 3PL with the highest tracking quality in the FourKites network. For this one, Nestle US was adjudged as a winner. The company achieved that feat due to the work it has done for OTR tracking. Apart from Nestle US, though, one more shipper from the food and beverage industry was recognized for ocean tracking.
Turning our attention towards the High Flyer Awards, they basically recognize outstanding individuals who are using FourKites to enhance ROI for their organization. In essence, these recipients influence the platform by proposing suggestions, participating in peer discussions, and sharing their own best practices for the advantage of the broader ecosystem. As for the individuals who are poised to win the stated award this year, they include Jordin Katzenberger, Manager of Supply Chain Technology at Pactiv Evergreen; Chad Boswell, Analyst for C&S Wholesale; Jillian Bourbina, Global Business Process Expert at Dow; Ed Miller, Director of Transportation at Atkore; and Carrie Conrad, Transportation Systems Analyst for Land O’ Lakes.
“It’s a privilege to celebrate our customers’ wins alongside them — recognizing the innovations and accomplishments that are transforming their supply chains and creating tremendous value for their own customers,” said Priya Rajagopalan, President of Product, Technology and Operations at FourKites. “Co-innovation is embedded in FourKites’ DNA, with many of our best-loved features developed in close collaboration with our customers. We thank them for their continued partnership and wholeheartedly applaud their success.”
Founded in 2014, FourKites’ rise up the ranks stems from helping business leaders from different sectors achieve comprehensive visibility into transportation, yards, warehouses, stores and beyond. The company’s excellence in what it does can also be understood once you take into account how, as of today, it is tracking more than 3.2 million shipments daily across road, rail, ocean, air, parcel and last mile, while simultaneously reaching over 200 countries and territories.
