Investing Greater Intelligence into Your Inventory and Generating More Productivity Out of It

Dane Technologies, a leader in designing and manufacturing autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and power assist solutions, has officially announced a partnership with Brain Corp, the autonomous technology company best known for creating transformative solutions in robotics and AI.

According to certain reports, the stated pair of companies will join forces to introduce Dane AiR™ DC, which would be an autonomous mobile robot focused on revolutionizing inventory management within distribution centers and warehouses.

More on that would reveal how the technology in question is meticulously engineered to deliver inventory visibility with unmatched speed, accuracy, and efficiency, thus providing a smart, scalable solution for inventory management.

“Inefficient Inventory processes have a direct impact on the bottom line,” said Dan Johnson, CEO of Dane Technologies. “The Dane AiR™ DC fully automates the inventory process, delivering accurate and timely data, as well as actionable insights. Those insights drive process improvements at the site and potentially throughout the supply chain. Dane AiR DC helps any warehouse increase process efficiencies and lower operating costs. Those savings combine to deliver a very compelling return on investment.”

Talk about the whole value proposition on a slightly deeper, we begin from the new technology’s promise to provide automated inventory tracking at pallet and case levels for complete inventory visibility.

Next up, there is a facility dedicated towards conducting advanced scanning. This Dane AiR™ DC will likely achieve on the back of computer vision, RFID, and barcode scanning pallets or items in racks up to 38 feet, as well as bulk storage.

Another detail worth a mention here is rooted in the solution’s barcode reading efficiency, something which settles at around 99.5%+ with best-in-class Cognex technology. Joining that would be the solution’s simple data integration facility with industry-leading Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Then, we have next-generation autonomous navigation capabilities coming into play. Powered by BrainOS® platform, which has logged over 20 million autonomous operating hours across more than 40,000 robots till date, these capabilities tread up a long distance to facilitate proven, dependable, and safe autonomous operation in dynamic warehouse spaces.

Hold on, we still have a few bits left to unpack, considering we haven’t touched on the potential for maximized uptime. We get to say so because Dane AiR™ DC, at launch, boasts 10-hour battery run time and fully autonomous 4-hour recharge.

We referred to the technology’s knowhow in terms of deploying various advanced technologies to improve scanning, but what we haven’t yet mentioned in that its scanning facility can cover over 200,000 square feet in under eight hours.

Rounding up highlights is a fact that, with fast and cost-effective implementation, the solution can also accelerate your ROI by a significant margin.

Among other things, it must be acknowledged that, unlike drones which require specialized infrastructure, have runtime limitations and face flight restrictions, or other robotic solutions hampered by their large, very complex, and have significant operating expenses, Dane AiR™ DC can be expected to offer a seamless, plug-and-play experience.

Beyond that, we must also expand upon how, thanks to its compact design, the solution can support precise navigation in dynamic environments, with minimal disruption to existing workflows.

“Warehouses today face mounting pressure to optimize productivity while maintaining accuracy,” said Mark Garczewski, Vice President of Product at Brain Corp. “The Dane AiR™ DC with BrainOS® brings a new level of digital precision to inventory management, providing visibility and ground truth that empowers teams to work smarter and bridge the gap between the physical and digital supply chain.”
