Serving Up a Multi-Solution Showcase to Indicate a Brighter Future for SDVs

Sonatus, a global leader in software-defined vehicle (SDV) technologies, is officially set to showcase, at CES 2025, a range of unique products and solutions that are all designed to help OEMs realize the full potential of SDVs.

According to certain reports, the company will effectively highlight how Generative AI enhances service experiences and developer productivity. Furthermore, it is going to showcase Sonatus Updater, a next-generation OTA solution tailored for complex SDV demands.

Sonatus will also unveil its new SDV demonstration vehicle, which happens to be a classic 1970 Ford Bronco, restored and converted to an electric vehicle and outfitted with Sonatus’ SDV technology.

Making this all the more impressive is the fact that Automator AI’s functional safety module, Automator Safety Interlock, is certified by UL Solutions to ISO26262, achieving ASIL-D capability. This, like you can guess, treads up a long distance to expand the wide range of use cases for the given solution.

Taking a deeper view of all what Sonatus plans to display at CES 2025, we begin from Sonatus AI Technician Builder, which is essentially a no-code platform, based on Generative AI, capable of helping OEMs deliver custom AI Technicians that make vehicle ownership a stress-free experience.

Thanks to such a setup, the technology allows for you to capture real-time data directly from each owner’s vehicle and fuse it with proprietary knowledge bases, The idea behind doing so is to let users access precise recommendations that guide them at every touchpoint, streamline repairs for technicians, and enable engineers to address fleet-wide issues proactively.

Next up, there is going to be Sonatus Collector AI solution. This one is an upgraded version of its industry-leading data collection solution, a version that leverages GenAI to add a natural language interface for the purpose of building sophisticated data collection and in-vehicle automation policies. With that, the solution dramatically lowers the barrier for multiple OEM groups to use these powerful tools in the context of data-driven insights and adding new vehicle capabilities. Markedly enough, Sonatus developed the given GenAI capability in collaboration with cloud leader AWS. In fact, it also, quite recently, achieved AWS Automotive Competency certification.

Then, we have the Sonatus Updater. At the moment, the requirements of OTA updates for SDVs are outpacing the capabilities of existing OTA solutions. Fortunately enough, Sonatus Updater addresses that very need.

Hold on, we are not done yet, we referred to how Sonatus will show two demonstrations of Automator AI running on its new demo vehicle, a classic car outfitted with modern electronics, and Sonatus SDV technology, but what we haven’t mentioned yet is that attendees can also expect to see vehicle personalization and drive-time customization capabilities.

In the first scenario, you have a vehicle which is well-equipped to automatically adapt to the driver’s driving and comfort preferences. To expand upon that, Sonatus will showcase how Automator AI effectively customizes the vehicle experience with personalized options that can be instantly configured and deployed, either as built-in capabilities or as on-demand, monetizable upgrades.

The company will also conduct a coordinated demonstration with partner Smart Eye AB to show how cabin-monitoring events can be valuable triggers for Automator AI actions.

Turning our attention towards drive-time customization, it relates to Automator AI’s ability to take personalization to the next level by dynamically adapting vehicle settings based on road conditions and users’ preferred drive modes.

Among other things, there will be on the showcase a snapshot of Sonatus Foundation. For better understanding, we ought to mention how SDVs must be designed as platforms for mobility innovation, requiring a flexible software foundation. Sonatus Foundation, which would be a suite of essential infrastructure technologies, will cater to that by weaving a picture on the way OEMs can leverage this technology to add dynamic reconfigurability across vehicle E/E architectures.

Finally, Sonatus participation at the CES 2025 will give you an insight into its commercial vehicle solutions. This includes a lowdown on how, through technologies like Sonatus Collector AI, the company can empower OEMs and fleet managers to access new data-driven services, including efficiency tracking, predictive maintenance, and advanced utilization tracking
