Fast fashion giant boosts delivery network, creates new jobs, and strengthens its growing presence across Europe
London, United Kingdom, 20 May 2026 – Global fashion retailer Shein is expanding its European operations with the launch of a major logistics center in the United Kingdom. The company has opened a new warehouse in Cannock, located in the Midlands region, as part of its long-term strategy to improve delivery speed and strengthen its supply chain across Europe.
The newly launched facility spans nearly 376,000 square feet and features advanced automation technology, including robotic order picking systems designed to speed up operations and improve efficiency. The center is expected to create around 450 new jobs, bringing Shein’s UK workforce to nearly 1,000 employees.
According to company statements, the new logistics hub is part of Shein’s broader investment strategy in Europe, where the company plans to invest around €250 million over the next five years. The move reflects the growing competition in the e-commerce and fast fashion industry, where brands are increasingly focusing on faster shipping, localized warehousing, and smoother customer experiences.
Industry analysts believe the expansion will help Shein reduce delivery times for European shoppers while also lowering operational pressure during high-demand periods. The company has been rapidly increasing its logistics footprint across Europe, including large-scale distribution investments in Poland and partnerships with local businesses across the region.
The UK warehouse joins several other logistics projects Shein has launched in Europe over the past year. In Poland, the company recently opened one of its largest European logistics centers near Wrocław, equipped with automated sorting systems and designed to serve millions of customers across the continent.
At the same time, Shein is also expanding beyond fashion retail by strengthening relationships with local sellers and third-party businesses. Reports suggest the company is gradually evolving into a broader marketplace platform by allowing European brands and small businesses to use its logistics and fulfillment network.
The latest expansion highlights how global online retailers are investing heavily in regional infrastructure to stay competitive in Europe’s fast-changing retail market. With quicker delivery expectations and rising online shopping demand, logistics networks have become one of the biggest growth drivers for fashion and e-commerce companies worldwide.
